Why we love Stock
Just across Cow Key Channel, Stock Island is where Key West's shrimpers, lobster boats and charter captains still work, and where some of the best seafood on the island is served steps from the boats.
The marina village has grown into a relaxed dining and arts destination without losing its grit. Watch the day's catch being unloaded, then eat it at a picnic table on the dock an hour later.
It is also home to the Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden, the only frost-free botanical garden in the continental United States, and the departure point for many of our backcountry fishing charters.
